Rust Stain Removal on Brick Pavers St. Charles, IL

Rust Stain Removal on Brick Pavers St. Charles, ILBrick Pavers are an extremely durable and long lasting surface. They are however porous and susceptible to staining. A common stain that Paver Protector is asked to remove are rust stains. They come from an array of sources ranging from auto battery leaks, rusted cars parked in the driveway, speckled rust stains from fertilizer containing iron and most commonly and most noticeable are rust stains from irrigation systems.

A lot of the work Paver Protector does on brick pavers is between St. Charles and Barrington IL. A lot of these areas have large home sites that obtain water through wells. This water can often be hard and if not properly treated an irrigation system that sprays water every day on a paver surface will leave rust stains. They are usually very obvious in the patterns along a driveway or patio where the sprinkler head overlaps the paver area. On brick paver driveways that are sloped a bit you can usually see where the irrigation water runs off the driveway by the streak of rust.

Rust stains on brick pavers are very hard to remove without damaging the paver or the pavers color. Store bought cleaning solutions are typically not strong enough and most professional grade acids will remove the rust but take along with it the color of the pavers leaving you with a surface just as unsightly as before.

Paver Protector uses a proprietary blend of cleaners and detergents formulated specifically for brick pavers and hardscape surfaces that will remove the rust stains while leaving the color of the pavers where you want it. Rust removal is very cost effective considering the damage that is done. Paver Protector recommends cleaning the entire paver surface after rust removal to maintain a consistent appearance. Irrigation systems can then be equipped with a softening system to prevent future rust stains.

After cleaning rust stains on brick pavers it is a good time to have a protective and enhancing sealer applied to the brick pavers to prevent future staining and to enhance colors.
